Job Summary
Conduct all Café restaurant functions including deli, barista, grill, ice cream, and baked goods preparation while maintaining strict food safety and cashier guidelines. Manage inventory purchasing, merchandise arrangement, and sales trends to meet Scheels standards, ensuring products are received and stored per Standard Operating Guidelines. Oversee daily operations by executing detailed cleaning schedules, opening and closing procedures, and training new associates using mentor checklists. Maintain an orderly workspace and adhere to all state and local ordinances regarding food safety. This role requires day-time availability between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm with an average of 41 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- 1-3 years of related experience or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Day-time availability between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm
- Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
