Job Summary
Provide personal care, companion care, and mobility assistance for clients in their homes, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and meal preparation. Safely assist with transfers and repositioning using Hoyer lifts, maintain a clean environment, and report changes in client condition to the Director of Nursing. Accurately document all care provided, completed tasks, and time/attendance while communicating effectively with office staff, nurses, clients, and family members. Respond professionally during emergency situations and assist with transportation and errands when required. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality for full-time on-call scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Active North Carolina CNA License
- Current CPR Certification
- Current TB Test
- Completion of all state-mandated training requirements
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to transport clients as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, compassionate, and dependable attitude
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different client situations
- Experience using a Hoyer Lift
- Ability to adapt to different client care environments and schedules
