Job Summary
Evaluate, develop, and execute individualized treatment plans for patients referred by physicians, ensuring alignment with established goals. Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques within the clinic, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modality applications. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient progress and adjust treatment strategies based on outcomes. Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering an inviting environment for patients, families, and caregivers, while engaging them in patient education regarding home exercise programs and self-management strategies. Meet and strive to exceed departmental productivity and utilization goals while maintaining a focus on quality care for a diverse population including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports-related conditions. This full-time role spans Monday to Friday over a 40-hour week at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in East Brunswick, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey
- Completion of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program
- Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and team members
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems for documentation and patient management
Desired Qualifications
- at least 2 years of relevant experience in physical therapy
- Experience working in a rehabilitation setting with varied patient populations, particularly in outpatient clinics
- A strong background in utilizing evidence-based practices to achieve patient goals
