Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by performing routine janitorial services including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and emptying trash receptacles. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, replenish restroom supplies, and operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and pallet jacks while wearing required PPE. Report maintenance concerns, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor and complete assigned checklists accurately. Ensure emergency exits and walkways remain clear and maintain janitorial closets in an organized condition. This role requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working night shifts in warehouse or retail environments. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to work night shifts
- Must be able to travel to assigned work locations
- Must be willing to work varying shifts based on business needs
- Hearing and vision sufficient to safely perform job duties
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Continually required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Desired Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
