Job Summary
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate soccer coaching sessions for young children, teaching fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, and teamwork. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment while managing group behavior and ensuring the safety of all participants during practices. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding player progress and set up or break down equipment before and after each session. Participate in staff training, meetings, and program development initiatives. Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between program locations, and hold or obtain CPR/First Aid certification. Join a supportive team culture dedicated to developing children's skills, confidence, and love of the game in the Boston community.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching, teaching, or working with young children
- Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals and youth development principles
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and highly energetic with a passion for youth sports
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between program locations
- Must pass a background check
