Job Summary
Provide a safe, loving environment for infants through preschoolers using Conscious Discipline guidelines while planning enriching learning activities. Supervise groups ranging from four 0-9-month-olds to thirteen 4/5-year-olds by checking children in and out, feeding solids, changing diapers, soothing infants, and managing nap times. Ensure play, sleep, and changing areas remain clean, and clean toys at the end of each day. Shifts run 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with pay of $15 to $16 per hour. Candidates must pass a drug test and background check, work all five days, and meet annual professional development requirements per Nevada State Licensing. Located across five sites in Reno/Sparks, the team prioritizes helping colleagues and communicates effectively with parents.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass Drug Test (for drugs illegal in the state of Nevada)
- Must Pass Background Check
- Must provide references
- Must be work all five days, Monday through Friday
- Meet annual professional development requirements, per Nevada State Licensing
- Willing to work with ages from 6 weeks to 5 years
- Caring individual who gets to know children by name
- Dedicated to local community
- Helping the team is a priority
- Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
Desired Qualifications
- High school or GED (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
