Job Summary
Lead Server role delivering elevated dining experiences with polished, attentive service and wine-knowledge leadership. Responsibilities include completing opening/closing side work, leading pre-shift meetings, guiding guests through the menu and wine pairings, maintaining expert wine knowledge, overseeing front-of-house operations, mentoring servers, coordinating with kitchen/management for seamless service, upholding luxury-brand ambiance and sanitation, handling guest concerns, training staff on wine upselling, and ensuring accurate cash handling and POS reporting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Naperville & Illinois BASSET certification is required
- Illinois Food Handler Certification is required
- Prior completion of a formal wine training program (sommelier or WSET)
- 3 -5 Years of upscale dining experience in a similar restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Micros Simphony POS
