Job Summary
Full Time Certified Nurse Midwife sought for Chesapeake, VA campus. Role offers autonomous CNM practice within an OB/GYN-focused network, with a call schedule of 1:4 (one call per week, five weekends per year) and triaged on-call support. Practice includes in-house lab and some office-based surgery with anesthesia, affiliation with Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, and potential licensure in both VA and NC across four care centers. Responsibilities center on providing CNM-led obstetric care to a patient census of approximately 20-25 patients daily and about 60 births per month, with mentorship opportunities for new graduates, and comprehensive benefits and 401k. Requires AMCB CNM certification, ACME-accredited CNM education, a Master’s degree in Nursing, active RN license, CPR/NALS, and DEA license (or ability to obtain).
Required Qualifications
- AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
- Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
- Master's degree in Nursing (MS/MSN)
- Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
- CPR and NALS Certification
- Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
- One year of full-time experience as a CNM is preferred
