Job Summary
Provide SMART customer service by locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise while responding promptly to customer questions. Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver orders on schedule, ensuring items match invoice quantities. Inspect products before loading, build and band delivery loads within payload limits, and unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery. Maintain safe, secure, and clean vehicles and work areas by conducting daily inspections, reporting hazards, and adhering to DOT regulations and CDL compliance. Monitor for security risks and communicate them to management. Verify daily vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness and maintenance for delivery equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Class B CDL License with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
