Job Summary
Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery of orders. Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload while inspecting product condition before loading. Coordinate with truck drivers to call customers regarding delivery or in-stock status, and unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery. Maintain a safe and secure work environment by ensuring loads comply with DOT regulations, conducting daily vehicle inspections, and reporting hazards. Detect security risks such as shoplifting and promptly communicate them to management. Class A or B CDL license required; valid medical certificate and MVR screen pass mandatory. Starting rate $28.80 - $31.10 per hour. Full-time employment with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Class B CDL License with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
