Job Summary
Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers, assisting with locating and loading merchandise, and responding promptly to questions regarding stock, warranties, and delivery coordination. Plan delivery activities, build and band loads within payload limits, and deliver orders on schedule while inspecting product condition before loading. Ensure loads meet DOT regulations, update delivery status on tracking systems, and un/install appliances upon arrival. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, verify daily inspections, and complete DOT reporting to sustain CDL compliance. Detect security risks and communicate hazards to management. Operate store equipment as needed and adhere to all safety requirements including aisle clearing and door securing.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Class B CDL License with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
