Job Summary
Execute daily delivery activities by pulling merchandise, building loads within payload limits, and delivering orders according to schedule to ensure on-time completion. Inspect product conditions before loading, match invoice quantities, and coordinate with customers regarding delivery status or in-stock items. Unload, install, and test appliances upon arrival while maintaining safe, secure loads that comply with DOT regulations. Perform vehicle inspections, update route status on tracking systems, and report security risks or hazards immediately. Adhere to all safety requirements, including daily safety reviews, aisle clearances, and equipment operation as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of working areas and vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Class B CDL License with air break endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 Months Experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 Months Experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
