Greet, engage, and assist customers during the checkout process while processing transactions through the check lane with respect for items and policies. Uphold the integrity of purchases by adhering to company limits on cash shortages and overages, and handle various tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP, WIC, and coupons. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding restricted sale items. Maintain store safety practices to prevent unsafe conditions for customers and employees, while performing physical tasks such as standing long periods, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Instill the daily mission goal in the team to create an atmosphere focused on exceeding customer service, safety, and cleanliness standards.
