Job Summary
As a Lowe's cashier, deliver fast, friendly, and professional checkout, scanning and bagging items, handling payments and exchanges, and assisting customers to ensure they leave with a positive experience. May assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts; may engage in problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Requires basic arithmetic, computer use, ability to stand/sit for long periods, and lifting up to 75 pounds with team lifting as needed. Required Qualifications
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods
- Experience using a computer
- Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state
- Proactive assistance to customers in checkout area
- Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
- Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
- Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
- Answer customer questions
- Complete other duties as assigned
