Job Summary
Visiting Angels Full Time Caregiver provides in-home care and companionship to clients across East Texas (including Jacksonville, Bullard, Troup, Palestine, Frankston). Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, emergency responsiveness, shopping accompaniment, and supporting wellness according to custom care plans. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia/Alzheimer's care; shift options include various 8- to 12-hour schedules and PRN. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license and vehicle, strong communication skills, First Aid training, reliable transportation, ability to perform physical duties, and adherence to health and safety standards. Required Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
- Reliable transportation to client homes
- Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
- Willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client's day
