Job Summary
Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory-impairing conditions. Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, dining), build meaningful relationships with residents and families, maintain accurate care records, and report changes to the nursing team. Emphasize safety, empathy, reliability, and teamwork in a memory-care setting. Strong communication in English and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required. Location: Berkeley, CA; Schedule: Full-time PM shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred
- Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions (preferred but not required)
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Effective communicator in verbal and written English
- Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Comfortable working around animals and pets
