Job Summary
Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and transfers, while assisting clients with exercise, therapy, and range of motion activities. Manage household duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning, and offer transportation to medical appointments or family visits. Ensure client safety through proper use of assistive devices and monitor medication reminders. Shifts run Monday through Friday with 8 to 10-hour blocks, offering both full-time and part-time options. Candidates must be licensed in Washington State, hold a valid driver's license, and pass a background check. ComForCare Home Care provides paid training, continuing education, and a competitive pay scale ranging from $22 to $24 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination upon hire
- High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
- Licensed to provide home care in Washington State
- Be listed in good standing on with the Washington DSHS Background Check System
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience as a Home Care Aide (in homes or facilities)
- Experience with specific conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, etc
- Experience and comfort with holistic/integrative healthcare
