Job Summary
Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, transfers, and toileting for a partially paralyzed male client in a private home. Assist with exercise programs, therapy, and range of motion activities while ensuring safety during ambulation. Manage household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping alongside companion care and transportation to medical appointments. Maintain medication reminders and support the client's overall well-being in a long-term, clinically stable placement.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
- Licensed to provide home care in Washington State
- Be listed in good standing on with the Washington DSHS Background Check System
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
- All ComForCare caregivers must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience as a Home Care Aide (in homes or facilities)
- Experience with specific conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, etc
- Experience and comfort with holistic/integrative healthcare
- Experience with spinal cords injuries and exercise programs
