Job Summary
Caregiver role providing compassionate support to residents with memory impairments (Alzheimer’s/dementia) on a Full Time AM shift. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, dining), building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff, ensuring a safe, respectful, engaging environment, maintaining accurate care records, and communicating changes to the nursing team. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience with memory care is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, have reliable transportation, and be a clear English communicator; comfortable around animals. Location: Alhambra, CA. Schedule: 4 days on / 2 days off; pay range $17-$18 per hour plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred
- Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions (preferred but not required)
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Effective communicator in verbal and written English
- Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Comfortable working around animals and pets
