Job Summary
Cannabis Advisor in a full-time retail role focused on providing exceptional customer service and educational consulting about cannabis products. Responsibilities include greeting customers and patients, informing on product types, methods, and efficacy (not medical advice), building rapport to promote repeat business, maintaining a clean workstation/storefront, ensuring accuracy of online orders and METRC/BioTrack inventory updates, stocking merchandise, processing transactions at the POS, and supporting management and other Cannabis Advisors. Requires compliance with local/state regulations, background check and state badging, and ongoing cannabis education; open availability for all shifts in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience
- Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations
- Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging (as directed by state ordinances)
- Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods
- Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
- Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations
