Job Summary
Operate a city bus safely, courteously, and on schedule while providing passenger communications regarding routes, fares, and transfers. Assist passengers with special needs, including securing wheelchairs, and handle long periods of sitting. Fill in for days off, vacations, sick days, and call-offs as business demands require. Maintain a good driving record and pass required DOT medical, background, and drug screenings. Earn $21.73 per hour with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and transit passes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Must possess a Class A or B CDL with Passenger endorsement, issued by the Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles or Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP)
- Must have a good driving record as defined by METRO
- Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment background check, a DOT medical examination, and drug screen
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one year of CDL passenger driving experience
