Job Summary
Administer emergency medications for students with seizures or allergic reactions, assist passengers with safe loading and unloading, and supervise special needs students until release to teachers or parents. Enforce safety rules, document incidents and activities, and secure equipment such as restraints and wheelchairs. Communicate observations and accidents to appropriate personnel while adhering to school policies and procedures. This full-time role works 9 months per year for Bismarck Public Schools, requiring a driver's license, CPR/First Aid certificate, and TB clearance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- TB Clearance
- Driver's License and Evidence of Insurability
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
- Non-Exempt
- Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Significant fine finger dexterity
- Generally, 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing
- Hazard-free environment
- Work under limited supervision following standardized practices
- Provide information and advice to others
