Job Summary
Assist with preparation and instruction, work closely with small groups of students to provide intervention, and actively participate in weekly meetings and school-wide events. Implement classroom policies and procedures, lead students to and from specials and lunch, and effectively manage student behavior while performing other related duties as assigned. This role supports the Syracuse Academy of Science Charter Elementary School's K-4 community, offering a great environment for both new and experienced teachers with access to SMARTboards, iPads, and Chromebooks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with diverse population of students or in an urban setting
- Prior teaching experience
