Job Summary

Building Engineer role overseeing tennis-center facility operations: supervise Lead Custodian and custodial staff; perform maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; plan annual maintenance for indoor/outdoor tennis facilities; ensure cleaning standards, manage inventories and contracts, and coordinate with Parks Department. Must be on-call for emergencies; requires minimum 4 years in construction trades; Bachelor's degree preferred; valid IL driver’s license; certifications (First Aid/CPR/AED, Confined Space, Respirator, Scissor Lift) within six months. Exempt, full-time, 40+ hours/week with a early-morning schedule and possible nights/weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in construction trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and framing and drywall
  • A valid Illinois State Driver's License
  • First Aid, CPR and AED, Confined Space, Respirator, and Scissor Lift training certification required within six months from date of hire
