Job Summary
Full-Time Behavioral Technician in Union County, NJ providing non-physical emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Responsibilities include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, timely visit notes, crisis de-escalation, engaging clients in activities, attending case reviews and trainings, and adhering to agency protocols. Requires NJ CSOC certification within 6 months, pursuit of RBT certification within 6 months, valid NJ driver's license, and successful background checks; evenings shifts typically amount to ~40 hours/week; bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines (RBT/BACB or related)
- three years of supervised experience if HS Diploma/GED
- one year supervised experience if Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields
- one year supervised experience if RBT/BACB credential
