Job Summary
Behavioral Technician position in Somerset County, NJ, supporting children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center settings. Responsibilities include providing non-physical emotional and behavioral support, ensuring client safety and well-being, implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes per guidelines, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in growth-oriented activities, attending case reviews and trainings, and adhering to agency protocols. Requires working in the U.S. with no visa sponsorship, NJ-specific certification requirements within 6 months, pursuit of RBT certification, valid NJ driver’s license, background checks, and willingness to participate in a pre-employment drug screen. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates encouraged. Sign-on bonus of $300 applied after specified milestones. Full-time schedule typically evenings, 40 hours/week with 2–4 hour shifts.”,
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
