Job Summary
Full-Time Behavioral Technician role providing non-physical emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Responsibilities include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting ADLs assessments, using redirection strategies, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation, engaging clients in activity-based growth, attending case reviews and trainings, following agency protocols, and maintaining strong communication. Requires eligibility to work in the U.S., NJ certifications within 6 months of hire, a NJ driver’s license, and successful background checks; bilingual Spanish encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines:1 year supervised experience if RBT or BA/psychology/ed/soc work degree; 3 years if HS Diploma or GED
