Job Summary
Behavioral Technician provides non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Roles include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection strategies, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation, engaging clients in activities to support growth, attending case reviews and trainings, and adhering to agency protocols. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week with 2–4 hour evening shifts; in Mercer County, NJ. Opportunities for professional growth and a comprehensive benefits package are offered. Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: RBt/BACB experience or certain degrees with required supervised experience or HS diploma with 3 years supervised experience
