Job Summary
Provide psycho-social education with emphasis on childhood and adolescent development while assisting primary care providers in recognizing and treating mental health concerns. Conduct functional and strength-based assessments, diagnose patients, and deliver motivational interviewing to develop behavioral strategies for symptom reduction. Complete all required charting in the electronic medical record and assist in care coordination, including referrals to community agencies. This role requires LMSW, LMHC, or MHC-LP certification and Monday through Friday availability from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Supervision hours from a LCSW-R are provided for advanced certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Master Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Mental Health Counselor- LP (LMSW/LMHC/MHC-LP)
- LMSW/LMHC or MHC LP

- Competence in the delivery of crisis intervention services and in brief and time-limited therapy
- Experience working with parents on behavioral management and child development education

- Ability to develop medical/behavioral treatment plans and coordinate needed services to fulfill plans
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with primary care staff, patients, and other behavioral health clinicians
- Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence based treatments for mental health conditions
