Job Summary
Execute receiving and merchandising standards while orchestrating truck delivery and prioritizing merchandise processing onto the sales floor. Engage with all customers to maintain an excellent experience, ensuring the backroom area remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety and recycling protocols. Train and mentor Associates on merchandising principles, monitor team productivity, and coach as necessary to align activities with the store plan. Rotate back stock for easy replenishment, ensure merchandise is properly tagged and secured, and communicate priorities effectively with management and the Coordinator on Duty. This Full Time Backroom Coordinator role at TJ Maxx supports store shrink reduction goals and promotes a culture of honesty and integrity. Candidates must work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, with a starting pay range of $16.25 to $16.75 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year retail experience
- 6 months of leadership experience
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
