Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) for back-end daytime shifts in Clear Lake, IA. Provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently, including daily living activities, transportation to appointments and community activities, and building confidence and life skills. You may assist with medication administration and health-related needs, complete electronic documentation and service notes, handle household routines, respond to behavioral or emergency situations using provided training, and build positive relationships. The role operates on a 12-hour shift model, with 3 days worked per week (Friday–Sunday or similar schedule), offering full-time hours, built-in overtime opportunities, paid training, and no previous DSP experience required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility needs
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Willingness to complete required training and certifications
