Job Summary
In-Home, mobile veterinary hospice role for an Associate Veterinarian in the San Jose, CA area. Practice medicine with purpose and work-life balance, delivering compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in clients’ homes. Flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules with 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, mentorship and onboarding support, and a collaborative culture. Independent practice within a supportive network of veterinarians and practice managers, with salary opportunities based on schedule structure (4-day starts at $117,500; 5-day around $140,000) plus bonuses. Includes travel to San Jose area homes, serving surrounding communities.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school
- Licensed veterinarian in California (or eligible for licensure)
- Ability to perform hospice and euthanasia care in-home
- Excellent communication skills with pet families
- Comfort with home-visit workflow and autonomous practice
- Strong clinical and compassionate bedside manner
