Job Summary
In-Home, Associate Veterinarian role in the Mid-Hudson Valley, NY area, joining Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice as a mobile veterinarian providing hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The position offers flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules with an average of 3–4 un-rushed patient visits per day, onboarding and mentorship, and access to a 24/7/365 Support Center. The role emphasizes practicing medicine with purpose, professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and the ability to practice independently outside of a traditional clinic, within a supportive team and culture.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited college
- Eligible for veterinary license in the state of New York and/or New Jersey
- Ability to provide hospice and euthanasia care in mobile/home-visit setting
- Strong communication skills with families during emotional moments
- Comfort with travel between client homes within Mid-Hudson Valley and surrounding areas
- Experience in mobile or non-traditional practice settings preferred
