In-Home, Associate Veterinarian role with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in Sarasota, FL (and surrounding areas). Mobile veterinary position providing hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families, operating outside traditional clinic settings. Offers flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules, with average 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, enabling meaningful interaction with families. Features comprehensive onboarding, mentorship, and 24/7/365 support, allowing practitioners to work independently within a supportive, veterinarian-founded community of 400+ professionals. Salary structure includes 4-day base starting at $107,500 and 5-day base at $130,000 plus bonus opportunities; 3-day, part-time, and prorated options also available. Locations include Sarasota and Osprey, FL.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
- State veterinary license or eligibility to practice in Florida
- Ability to perform hospice and euthanasia care
- Comfort with in-home/mobile practice
- Strong communication skills with families
- Experience or interest in pediatric/cat/dog care and end-of-life support
- Ability to work independently with mentorship available
- Flexibility for 2–5 day-per-week schedules
