Job Summary
Associate Veterinarian role focused on in-home mobile hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in Sterling Heights, MI (and surrounding areas), offering flexible, patient-centered practice outside traditional clinics. Responsibilities include delivering compassionate veterinary care in clients’ homes, practicing medicine with purpose, and supporting families during meaningful moments. The position emphasizes independence within a supported network, ongoing mentorship, onboarding and access to a 24/7/365 support center, with scheduled appointments designed to be un-rushed (approximately 3–4 per day). Compensation varies by schedule with base salaries starting around $107,500 for 4-day weeks and up to $130,000 for 5-day weeks, plus additional bonus opportunities; prorated compensation for other schedules is available. Locations include Sterling Heights, MI and Coldwater, MI. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Active license to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan
- Ability to provide hospice and euthanasia care to companion animals in-home
- Excellent communication skills with pet families
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a veterinary team
- Compassionate and respectful patient and family interaction
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule (2–5 day-per-week possibilities mentioned) and travel to client homes
