Job Summary
Associate Veterinarian role in an in-home, mobile hospice veterinary practice. Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families, in clients’ homes within the Plymouth, MA area (surrounding towns such as Wareham). The position emphasizes work-life balance, mentorship, onboarding support, and a flexible schedule (2–5 days/week; 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day). Opportunities include operating independently within a supportive network of veterinarians, ongoing training, and potential bonus opportunities. The role centers on delivering humane, client-centered veterinary care in a home setting, distinct from traditional clinic environments.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited veterinary college
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts
- Experience or demonstrated ability in hospice and euthanasia care for companion animals (mobile/in-home practice preferred)
- Ability to provide compassionate, client-focused veterinary care in home settings
- Strong communication and mentorship-oriented mindset for collaboration with a team
- Ability to work independently within Lap of Love’s mobile practice model
- Flexibility to accommodate 2–5 day-per-week schedules as described in the posting
