Job Summary
In-Home, Associate Veterinarian role providing hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in Brooklyn and surrounding areas. Flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules with an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, allowing time with families and meaningful patient care. Mobile practice focused on compassionate hospice care, mentorship and onboarding support, and a collaborative culture with experienced leaders. Responsibilities include practicing veterinary medicine in a mobile, in-home setting, delivering end-of-life care with compassion, and maintaining client relationships while upholding Lap of Love’s culture of kindness. Compensation includes a base salary with bonus opportunities; 4-day positions start at $135,000 and 5-day positions at $150,000, with prorated options for 3-day and part-time schedules available in the market.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed veterinarian (DVM) in New York
- DVM license to practice in NY
- In-home/mobile veterinary hospice and euthanasia care experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with compassionate care
- Willingness to provide pet-family supportive care and counseling
- Strong communication and mentorship engagement
