Job Summary
In-home veterinary hospice role focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families, practicing as a mobile veterinarian with independent, flexible scheduling (2–5 days/week) and strong mentorship support. The position emphasizes work-life balance, a caregiver-focused culture, and the opportunity to provide meaningful, patient-centered veterinary care in clients' homes within the Valparaiso/Kingsbury, IN area. Flexible schedules include 4-day and 5-day full-time options with base salaries of $85,000 and $100,000 respectively, plus bonus opportunities; 3-day and part-time opportunities with prorated compensation are also available.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from an accredited college/university
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Indiana (or eligible)
- Experience in veterinary hospice or end-of-life care preferred
- Ability to work independently in a mobile/in-home setting
- Strong communication skills with pet families
- Compassionate bedside manner and emotional resilience
- Prior mentorship or training experience preferred
