Job Summary
In-home, mobile Associate Veterinarian role providing hospice and euthanasia care to pets and families in Montgomery County, PA area and surrounding regions. Practice medicine with purpose outside traditional clinics, offering flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules, thorough but un-rushed appointments, and mentorship within a collaborative community of veterinarians and support professionals. Responsibilities include delivering compassionate hospice and euthanasia services in clients’ homes, managing and communicating with pet families, and maintaining professional standards while enjoying personal freedom and work-life balance. The role emphasizes independent practice within Lap of Love’s supportive framework, ongoing training, and access to experienced mentors while delivering care that aligns with the veterinarian’s values.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in PA and/or NJ
- In-home/mobile veterinary experience preferred
- Ability to provide hospice and euthanasia care
- Strong communication and empathy with pet families
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a support network
- Commitment to compassionate patient care and client education
- Flexibility to support 2-5 day per week schedules
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
