Job Summary
In-Home, mobile veterinarian role providing hospice and euthanasia care for pets in the Tri Valley, CA area. Practice as part of Lap of Love’s supportive, veterinary-hospice team with flexible 2–5 day-per-week scheduling, high-quality patient- and family-centered care, and mentorship from experienced leaders. Responsibilities emphasize compassionate end-of-life care, client communication, and delivering meaningful veterinary services in clients’ homes; the position supports a balance of professional fulfillment and personal well-being, with onboarding and access to a 24/7/365 Support Center. Salary varies by schedule, with 4-day positions starting at $117,500 and 5-day positions at $140,000 plus bonus opportunities; 3-Day Full-Time and Part-Time options are also available with prorated compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in California
- Ability to practice in a mobile, in-home setting
- Strong communication and empathy for pets and families
- Ability to work independently and manage patient care in hospice/euthanasia scenarios
