Job Summary
In-home, associate veterinarian role providing hospice and euthanasia care to pets in the Mid-Hudson Valley area. Flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules with an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, allowing meaningful time with families. The position emphasizes practicing medicine with purpose on a mobile platform, autonomy in the field, and strong mentorship/onboarding support from a network of experienced leaders and practice managers. Includes opportunities to work independently within Lap of Love’s supportive structure and to deliver compassionate end-of-life care aligned with shared values.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from accredited school
- Valid veterinary license in good standing for New Jersey or ability to obtain
- Experience in veterinary hospice or end-of-life care preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage in-home visits
- Strong communication skills with pet families
- Comfort with euthanasia services and compassionate patient care
