Job Summary
In-home/mobile veterinary hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in the Poughkeepsie, NY area (and surrounding areas), with a flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedule. The Associate Veterinarian will work independently within Lap of Love’s mobile-hospice model, providing compassionate end-of-life veterinary care, establishing strong client relationships, and collaborating with a supportive mentorship network. Compensation includes base salaries starting at $85,000 for 4-day schedules and $100,000 for 5-day schedules, plus additional bonus opportunities; 3-day and part-time options with prorated compensation are also available. The role emphasizes work-life balance, ongoing training, and a culture of kindness, with onboarding and 24/7/365 support.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or VMD degree
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in New York (or ability to obtain license)
