Job Summary
In-home Mobile Veterinary Hospice role providing compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families. Independent practice within Lap of Love’s network, offering flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules with an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day. The position emphasizes living a balanced life, ongoing mentorship, and strong support from experienced leaders while delivering meaningful, patient- and family-centered veterinary care in clients' homes. Location-specific duties include serving Buffalo, NY and surrounding areas (Clarence Center and nearby communities).
Required Qualifications
- Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent)
- Eligibility to practice veterinary medicine in NY or ability to obtain licensure in NY
- In-home veterinary practice experience or interest in mobile hospice and end-of-life care preferred
- Strong communication and empathy for pets and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
- Flexibility for 2–5 day-per-week schedules and varying appointment load
- Mentorship mindset and willingness to participate in onboarding and ongoing training
