Job Summary
In-home, mobile veterinary hospice role seeking an Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Practice medicine in clients’ homes with a flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedule and an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day. Opportunity to practice independently with ongoing mentorship, support from experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 support center. Responsibilities include delivering end-of-life veterinary care, managing pain and comfort, communicating clearly with families, and maintaining high standards of patient welfare in a home-visit setting. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- State veterinary license in good standing or eligibility to obtain
- Ability to perform humane euthanasia in client homes
- Strong communication skills with clients and families
- Comfort with hospice and palliative care particular to veterinary patients
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Experience with mobile/in-home veterinary services (preferred)
- Commitment to compassionate patient care and emotional support for clients
