Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role focusing on store leadership and operations: assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results; supervise day-to-day store activities; manage schedules; participate in interviewing; ensure inventory controls, cash handling, signage, and product quality; drive training and development of team members; merchandise effectively; maintain store cleanliness and safety; support payroll and loss prevention; communicate major milestones and concerns; uphold company policies and core values; requires 18+ and High School Diploma or equivalent; 3+ years retail/management experience preferred; full-time position with starting wage $25.50/hour (often increasing to $26.50/hour in Year 2).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
- Prior management experience preferred
- Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to develop rapport and communicate effectively
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies
- Ability to establish goals and guide performance
- Ability to operate a cash register
- Physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- 18 years of age or older
