Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at ALDI leads store operations under the direct leader, assists with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results, supervises day-to-day activities, manages schedules, develops training opportunities for staff, and ensures product quality, inventory control, and customer service standards are upheld. Responsibilities include interviewing store personnel, communicating performance expectations, maintaining store cleanliness and signage, merchandising, achieving payroll and loss targets, and enforcing company policies. Requires strong leadership, communication, budgeting awareness, staff development, and adherence to regulatory requirements for alcohol sales.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
- Prior management experience preferred
- Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
