Job Summary
As an Assistant Store Manager at ALDI in Elgin, IL, you will assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results, supervise day-to-day store activities, manage schedules, and drive performance through training and development of the team. You will set and communicate responsibilities and performance expectations, participate in interview processes, ensure inventory procedures, cash control, and product signage accuracy, monitor competitive conditions, provide feedback on products, maintain store cleanliness and safety, oversee payroll and loss control, and support budgeting while delivering strong customer service. Strong leadership, communication, merchandising, and operational skills are essential, along with the ability to lead a team and uphold company policies and work schedule requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
- Prior management experience preferred
- Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
