Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager at ALDI will assist the direct leader in developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results, supervise day-to-day store activities, manage schedules, ensure product quality and signage, contribute to payroll and loss control, participate in interviewing store personnel, and coach a team to deliver prompt, courteous customer service while upholding company policies and safety standards. Responsibilities include training and development opportunities for direct reports, maintaining inventory control, merchandising, and ensuring store cleanliness, safety, and adherence to policies. Requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; 18+ and High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; at least 3 years of progressive retail experience and previous management experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to lead and develop staff
- Ability to manage cash handling and customer service
- Meets state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
