Full Time - Asset Protection Agent - Day

Job Summary
Coach associates and leaders on shrink awareness, theft deterrence, and customer service programs while partnering with Store and AP Leadership to identify theft trends and develop action plans. Monitor store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas through surveillance and exception-based tools to detect theft, fraud, and policy violations. Conduct external theft apprehensions, interviews, and investigations into criminal activity, maintaining case files and supporting law enforcement proceedings. Validate security measures, respond to EAS triggers, and address potentially violent situations to ensure a safe environment. This role requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability on any day of the week, with generally 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 Years relevant work experience (e.g. security, retail investigations, loss prevention)
- Ability to stand, sit, and perform job duties for extended periods
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds without assistance; may lift more than 25 pounds with or without assistance
- Generally scheduled for 40 hours per week; additional hours may be required based on business needs
- Morning, afternoon, and evening availability on any day of the week
- If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment in this position
- National certified training program (e.g., Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training)
- Professional accreditation (e.g., APQ, APC) or equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 1-2 Years experience conducting retail investigations
- 1-2 Years experience using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS)
- Experience investigating Organized Crime and asset protection cases
