Job Summary
Provide a visible armed security presence at entrances and high-risk areas while monitoring and controlling access to the facility. Conduct interior and exterior patrols, observe and report suspicious activity, and respond to incidents involving trespassing, theft, or disorderly conduct. Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access control systems as assigned, and respond to emergencies such as medical incidents or fires. Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, and shift hand-off notes while maintaining professionalism and following all site-specific policies. Work morning and swing shifts in a fast-paced environment requiring constant situational awareness and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid BSIS Guard Card
- Valid California Firearm Permit
- Must possess own firearm and duty belt
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass background screening and comply with all company policies
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Ability to operate radios and assigned security equipment
- Visual and auditory awareness for monitoring surroundings
